How do you look at paintings? 

Sometimes it takes a while for paintings to reveal themselves to us.

This talk is based on paintings that gave Edward intriguing insights. There might have been some clue or detail that sparked off a deeper understanding of the intentions of the artist.

With a degree in the History of Art from the University of Cambridge, Edward speaks with authority spiced with freshness and originality. He conveys his passion for great art and the way that artists use paint.

You can see some of those paintings in the ‘Insights’ section of this website, which includes paintings by Piero de la Francesco, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Georges de la Tour, Mattia  Preti, John Everett Millais and David Hockney.
